Claiborne Linvill, candidate for SC House District 3, was an invited speaker at a large gathering hosted by Oconee Women for Progress, the Oconee County Democratic Party, and Indivisible Oconee. Linvill was one of several invited speakers who addressed a large crowd at Biggerstaff Christian Retreat and Conference Center in Seneca, SC on May 11.
With a scenic backdrop of a large wooden cross and stunning views of Lake Keowee, a large audience heard from candidates from around the state running for governor, treasurer, agriculture commissioner, comptroller general and superintendent of education, as well as candidates for US House seats. Local candidates for SC House of Representatives and County Council also spoke. Linvill's speech covered her past work on Pickens County Council and her goals for serving in the SC State House.
Before and after the event, Linvill spoke with voters one-on-one, answering questions about her platform and her experience. Many visitors offered to volunteer or donate to the campaign. Overall, it was a beautiful day with a lot of positive energy leading up to the June 9 primaries.
