Linvill Is Official Democratic Nominee

At the end of the 2026 candidate filing period, Claiborne Linvill was the only candidate to have filed as a Democrat for South Carolina State House District 3, so she is officially the Democratic nominee for the seat. Linvill will not have a primary opponent. For the SC House 3 seat, there are two challengers in the Republican primary, which will be held on June 9. The winner of that primary race will then face Linvill in the general election on November 3.
